Wonderful You: An Adoption Story {Giveaway closed!}

 Today I would like to share with you a new children's book called Wonderful You: An Adoption Story

If you're a parent you're always looking for children's books, right? Well I was given a copy of this new adoption- themed children's book and I'm so in love with it for several reasons.

1. The illustrations are beautiful.

2. This adoption-themed book honors birth mothers' choice. In the story, the birth mother searches for the family that would be the perfect fit for her child.

3. It's not glorifying the adoptive parents as a hero.

4. The story talks about the dreams the adoptive family has for their child, and the illustrations are beautiful. It's such a reminder of the hope you have when you're expecting any child!

5. During one of the pictures of the "future" with their child, there's an illustration of the birth mother in the clouds looking over them. I love this. Any adoptive family is always connected to your child's first family, even if you don't have any contact with them! I love this illustration that your child's first family is connected to the hopes and dreams for your child's future.

6. There's a lot of really wonderful adoption-themed children's books out there, but this one has added value for families that are of domestic adoption, in my opinion. Sometimes I will look at reviews of adoption kids' books and people are nit-picky about it not being relevant to their type of adoption. This story was written for a reason and I think it would be a blessing to some families.

7. Having conversations about adoption has to start early with your adopted kiddos. Reading stories like this allows for it to be a normal topic in your home.
