Christmas Eve & Christmas Day 2015

Christmas Eve:

The day began with our flight home. Thankfully the kids took a little nap so we could start the unpacking process and Will was able to look over his sermon for the night's service!

We had a Christmas Eve service at the high school where our church meets. It was at 7 pm, which is right around bedtime for us. And we woke up before 5 to get on the road. So needless to say, we didn't stay very long.

Edith's thing is laying down on public floors. Obviously this is awesome when you live in New York and have a plethora of germs.

Edith's best buddy at church is Keyla. They are right around the same age and I can't wait for them to grow up and be sweet friends!

The kids were disappointed that the kids' classroom was not set up. They kept going down the hallway towards their nursery room.

We attempted to go in the service, but didn't last long.

After the service, Will and I set up the kids' Christmas gifts. Edith got a micro scooter, Minnie Mouse helmet, and Daniel Tiger book. (She actually got the same one last year for Christmas but had torn it up! As I was wrapping it I had this dejavu feeling and that's when I realized she got it last year!!). Israel got a sit and spin, keyboard and School Bus book.

Christmas Day:

A friend mailed us some fancy waffle/pancake mix so we had fancy waffles and coffee out of Christmas mugs!

It was a weekday so they watched a little PBS in our bed!

Will took Edith out on our block to try out her scooter. She definitely needs a little more time figuring out, and she mainly enjoyed walking it. Soon enough she will join the other Brooklyn kids on the street with her scooter!

Christmas Day was lazy and sweet. We ended the afternoon at our friends, the Stocktons, home. They graciously invited us over for Christmas dinner and it was so nice to spend the afternoon with friends! All in all, it was a very sweet first Christmas in Brooklyn.
