Shout Out: Meet the Kohman's!

Jordan and Lee are friends of ours from Raleigh, and they are in the domestic adoption process for their first child! Please read the flier and consider donating to their puzzle piece fundraiser!

"Fundraising for the adoption of our first child has been such
an encouraging and humbling experience.  We have been
amazed at God's provision for us thus far.  We raised just
over $3000 at our yard sale (which was what we asked and
believed God for)!  It was such an encouragement to have so
many people help us in that effort to make it the success that
it was.  To those of you who have given to our adoption fund,
prayed for us, and served us, we are truly humbled by your
generosity.  Thank you.  If you have yet to partner with us or
are eager for another opportunity to do so, fear not!  We’re at
it again!  Plus, this fundraiser is by far the cutest.

We are nearing the end of our “paperwork pregnancy” so
have begun the process of preparing the nursery for Sienna
Ruth or Josiah Calvin (yes, we have a girl and a boy
name! ).  We have an animal theme going in the nursery, fea
turing giraffes, zebras and elephants.  We bought an adorable
1,000 piece puzzle with a mother giraffe kissing her baby
(pictured on the right) that will grace a wall in our babytobe’s
room.  Here’s where you come in!   If you feel called to help:
you can "buy" a piece of this puzzle for $5 (or 5 pieces for $25
or 10 pieces for $50, etc. etc.).  No, we won't be sending you
a random puzzle piece.  Instead, we will write your name on
the back of the puzzle piece, unless you are here to do that
yourself.  (Keep in mind, the more pieces you buy, the more space you’ll have to write.)  Once completed, we will display
the puzzle in a  doublesided  frame so that we  can see all the people
who helped  “piece our family  together” on theback.  Cool, huh?
Our God sized goal this time  around is to “sell”
all 1,000 puzzle pieces and raise $5,000 (we have about $12,000 total to go still).

If you would like to give toward our adoption this way, please consider "buying" a puzzle piece or, better yet, ten.  To give online, go to: https://www.purecharity.com/kohmans-puzzle-piece-fundraiser and hit the “Back This” button.  Your donation will go straight to Amazing Grace Adoptions (our agency).  If you feel more comfortable giving to us, mail us a check: 600 Audubon Lake Dr. #1A32; Durham, NC 27713.  Thanks for your support!"

  2. INCLUSIVE SALVATION

Who are those who are included in salvation? All men who believe and obey what the apostle Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost are saved. It does not make any difference what denominational name is written on the church building where you worship, if you obey the gospel preached by Peter, then, you are saved, you are a member of the Lord's church, you are part of the church of Christ, you a member of the body of Christ, you are a Christian.

    What did Peter preach?
    1. Peter preached that Jesus was a miracle worker. (Acts 2:22)
    2. Peter preached that Jesus was resurrected from the dead by God the Father.(Acts 2:24-35)
    3. Peter preached that Jesus was both Lord and Christ.(Acts 2:36)
When the three thousand believe Peter, they asked "What shall we do?"(Acts 2:37)
    4. Peter told them to repent and be baptized in order to have their sins forgiven.(Acts 2:38)

This is the same message Jesus preached. (Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved....)

    THE TERMS FOR PARDON ARE: Faith-John 3:16, Repentance-Acts 2:38, Confession-Romans 10:9-10, Baptism (immersion in water) 1 Peter 3:21

All who meet the terms for pardon are saved regardless of the denominational name on the church building.
