Summer Strolls
One of our favorite parts of the Bay Ridge summer is the "Summer Stroll on 3rd" that takes place four Fridays out of the summer. We only participated in two of them this year because of the heat!
In June we went to dinner and walked around, listening to the music and enjoying seeing so many neighbors come out!
In July we had a mission team come to visit, and they helped us set up a booth to advertise our church. We gave out balloons and had an Olaf there for pictures. My kids were NOT being easy that night, as Israel was terrified/obsessed with Olaf, and Edith just didn't want to cooperate. Thankfully some of the mission team members allowed me to go back and enjoy the event while they watched my kids at home!
We were going to have live music with James, but couldn't get an amp plug in. He still put on a show for Israel!
We had face painting!
It was really nice seeing more of our church family out and we were able to make connections with our neighbors. We even met a family who had also adopted from AGCI, their son was a little older than Israel and had been at the same orphanage!
We're thankful for the many awesome things to do in Brooklyn in the summer!
