Baby & Toddler Cookbook Giveaway! (CLOSED)
I am SO SO SO excited that I get to share my new favorite cookbook with you! I was given a copy of the Baby & Toddler on the Go cookbook, and immediately started using it. This book is not only beautifully photographed, but the recipes are EASY and SIMPLE and QUICK. If you follow me on Instagram or Goodreads I've already raved about it there.
I am not ever on Pinterest because I don't have the time, so having a go-to book for kids from 4 months to over a year is super helpful for me. This book offers recipes for baby food and also easy toddler-friendly foods that you can hide veggies in! I've already made three recipes from this book for Israel (and even took the mac and cheese bites to an adult Christmas party!). I really love that the recipes do not require a lot of ingredients and that I had almost everything in my pantry already. Also, there are lots of ideas for make-ahead minis that you can freeze and thaw as needed. I've loved making a bunch of mini foods that Israel can eat for meals- and I have an alternative to PB & J!
If you're looking for a new cookbook, this is a great tool for a busy mama! If you are looking for a practical, different baby gift, this is it!
Are you convinced that you need this yet? Well, lucky for one of you... we're giving one away FREE this week. Check out the rafflecopter link below! Winner will be chosen on Friday.

Disclosure: I was given a free copy of this book to review. But all opinions are my own, and I promise that this really is an amazing book! :)
Yes, I am convinced! lol :) I've been starting some pre/mental planning for freezer meals and baby foods to make when we bring our little boy home from Ethiopia sometime early-ish next year!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have been following your blog for almost 2 years now (my first visit was what really put Ethiopia on my heart for the first time!), and didn't know you had a FB fan page. Found it and liked it, and look forward to following you there now too! :)
Oh, and since we don't have kids in our home yet, I have no "favorite kid snack" but I'm sure hummus will be making many appearances in our house!
DeleteNoelle, thanks so much for commenting! How amazing that you are so close to having your son home! Good for you in thinking ahead on meals. I never seem to do that and always wish I had. We are hummus fans in our house too, but Israel HATES it! I guess its the texture? So it's a "grown up" snack in the McGee house for now.
DeleteMy favorite kids snack is homemade granola bars. Super healthy and I like them too!
ReplyDeleteI need your recipe!
Deleteour favorite has been Goldfish... but I know there are better options out there! I need to get to know them.
ReplyDeleteApples & Cheese Slices
ReplyDeleteShredded cheese (any kind!) is a favorite for my toddler!
ReplyDeleteCheese in any form--my littles would eat a pound of cheese a day if I let them!
ReplyDeleteFresh blueberries are my favorite snack!
ReplyDeleteFruits or crackers are always our go to here. I don't have the time for much more than that ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a GREAT book! Would love this for our little girl!
ReplyDeleteFun! I love cookbooks, and this would be great to pass around to my momma friends!
ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! I have been collecting wholesome, kid-friendly recipes lately for when we bring our daughter home. I would love to win this one!!
ReplyDeleteFruit is always my go to snack. Berries are quick and apples with a slicer take only a few seconds!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great resource!
ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! Would love to try some of those out :)
ReplyDeleteThis book looks awesome! My husband and I just started the adoption process, and we don't have any kiddos at home, but when we babysit my nieces and nephew they always seem to want fruit. Even when I make a whole batch of cookies, they still only want fruit.
ReplyDeleteNot sure yet but one day maybe it'll come from this book!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the new book (cant believe I won!). I did happen to notice that comment never did get posted about my favorite quick and go healthy snack so I though I would still share (its that good), avacado smoothies! I know they sound gross, but they are packed with nutrients and so good! Very easy, just blend 1 avocado, peeled and pitted
ReplyDelete1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups ice cubes
2 tablespoons sugar (more or less to taste)
3/4 teaspoon vanilla (more or less to taste)
Little man loves them and so do I! I sometimes add strawberries and bananas as well. Enjoy! Cant wait to try new recipes. Thanks again!
